DJ ‘gutted’ over drink drive offence
11 October , 2008
Kev Seed, a radio disc jockey for Radio City in Liverpool, says he has learned his lesson after being stopped on the M6.
He was found to be 1 and a half times the legal limit although he had had his last drink 13 hours before getting into his car and driving.
He apologised to his listeners and everyone else he knew, including the police, and admitted that it was a very bad reflection on the show.
The 40-year-old said he was apalled at being behind the wheel whilst still unknowingly over the limit and said he would like to help others understand the dangers of driving after drinking before they had to learn the painful lesson themselves.
The radio presenter was fined £1,250 and given a 12 month driving ban by South Ribble Magistrates Court.
