Speeding driver 3 times over the limit mounts pavement killing 6 year old girl then runs away.

A six-year-old girl was left to die after being sent flying throught the air by a drunk driver who then ran away.

Ross Robinson was jailed for 9 years and banned from driving for 10 years after admitting causing the death of the Demi Leigh Royle by dangerous driving.

The littlke girl was killed as she walked along a street in Merseyside with her friend and her friends mother.

Judge Henry Globe, QC, the Recorder of Liverpool told Mr Robinson that prior to the incident he had been seen in 'a prolonged, persistent and deliberate course of very bad driving,'

After the accident Mr Robinson had jumped out of the van and run away despite the factr that the child was left dying in the road. He also lied about the amount of alcohol he had consumed.

As he was led out of court to the cells to start his sentence Mr Robinson showed no emotion whatsoever.
