Driving Ban For Porsghe Driver After Hitting The Jack Daniels
Mark Lewis, 47, lost his licence for 20 months after giving a breathalyser reading of 71mg. Mr Lewis was pulled over at 8.30am and the Police thought he seemed drugged as they could detect no smell of alcohol, but he subsequently proved to be nearly twice over the limit following a Jack Daniels binge the evening before.
Mr Lewis, who has 2 previous convictions for drink driving had had a row with his girlfriend on that evening and had drunk a large amount of Jack Daniels.
At the hearing the Judge, Tim Stone, told him how disappointing it was that people like him kept making the same crass error of judgement.
As well as the 20 month ban Mr Lewis was also ordered to pay £60 costs and to participate in a drink impaired driver programme in a 12 month community order.
