The top ten cases of lawyer nicknamed Mr Loophole!
Nick Freeman is now the top Lawyer for celebrities looking to get out of motoring charges. His latest client is Freddie Flintoff. He often gets his clients off on technicalities.
These are his ten most famous cases.
1. Sir Alex Ferguson
This is the case that first flung him into the spotlight.
Freeman successfully argued In 1999 Freeman argued that Fergie had used the hard shoulder of the motorway as he was absolutely desperate for a toilet and was suffering from diarrhoea.
2. Ronnie O'Sullivan
In 2001 Freeman accused a Lawyer of winking at a journalist and the trial was stopped. Whe he retried he was found not guilty of not giving a urine sample because Freeman claimed that depression had left Mr O'Sullivan too stressed to provide a sample.
3. Wayne Rooney:
In 2004 Rooney was aquited when Freeman argued that he had sent a fax requesting an adjournment and that the court must have lost it.
4. Steve McFadden:
Mr McFadden received a remarkably light punishment of 18 months driving ban for being 2.5 times over the limit.
4. Dwight Yorke:
Mr Yorke has been rescued by Mr Loophole on no less than 3 different occasions.
5. William Stobart:
The Eddie Stobart boss escaped a 6 months ban after Freeman argued that the man who had been pulled over after being clocked doing 116mph and had given his name to police could have been a different William Stobart.
6. Claire Ince:
Ms Ince had a speeding charge dropped after she made a guilty admission on some forms which were sent to her husband, thus making them invalid.
7. Colin Montgmerie:
Freeman pointed out that the policwe officer who had stopped Monty was not in court and could therefore not identify him as the driver of the vehicle.
8. Ashley Fitton:
Freeman claimed that Fitton was afraid of being hurt by her husband if she refused to drive him whilst she was over the drink drive limit.
9. David Beckham:
Mr Loophole got Beckam out of a tight squeeze after claiming that he was forced to exeed the speed limit due to the fact that the paparazzi were in persuit of him, it is believed that this claim was helped by the recent death of Princess Diana.
10. Caprice:
Freeman claimed that Caprice was over the limit after taking an anti histamine drug which he said had made her result unreliable. This was not accepted by the Court.
