Mum caught twice on school run for drunk driving
18th June 2008
A 43 year old Mum was branded "beyond belief" after she was arrested twice in 3 weeks for drunk driving.
Tracey Cox was so drunk when she got into her car that her 20 year old twin daughters called police. On the second occasion she didn't notice that she was being followed by a police car with its blue lights flashing as she went to collect her younger daughter from school.
She was breathalysed by Police at the side of the road and was found to be 21/2 times over the limit. She was arrested and taken to the Police station where she refused to give another specimen.
Ms Cox was said to be swaying as she got into her car outside her home in Barnsley.
Emma and Helen, her daughters, "feared the worst" and reported her to the police after watching her stall and nearly crash into a wall.
When Police arrived they found that her speech was slurred and that she smelled of alcohol.
